Privacy Policy

ShrinkDaily is an educational website. This page explains, in plain terms, what we collect and why. We aim to collect as little as we can, we don't run ads, and we don't sell personal data.

What we collect

If you subscribe to the daily email, we store the email address you give us, and we use it only to send you the daily concept. Beyond that, we collect general usage information through the analytics tools described below. We don't ask you for health information, and we don't build a profile about you.

Analytics and cookies

We use two analytics tools:

Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-9RS8FJGTY3), provided by Google. It sets cookies on your device and collects information such as the pages you view, an approximate location based on your IP address, your device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. Google processes this information on our behalf. You can read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Plausible, a cookieless analytics tool. We use it to count clicks that move between the sites in The Shrink Network. It doesn't set cookies and it doesn't identify you.

Your consent, and how to change it

Google Analytics doesn't load at all until you accept it. When you first arrive we ask you plainly, and until you say yes, nothing from Google is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. If you decline, we also clear any Google Analytics cookies already on your device. You can change your mind at any time by selecting Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Plausible is cookieless and doesn't identify you, so it runs either way, and declining doesn't limit anything on this site.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the email at any time. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers offer a private browsing mode. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every website by installing Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Sensitive topics

This site is about mental health, so the page you're reading can itself feel personal. We don't ask for health information, we don't sell or share data with advertisers, and we don't use your browsing here to target you. If you'd rather not be measured at all, use the Google opt-out add-on above, or your browser's tracking protection, before you browse.

Children

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
